Hachi: A Dog’s Tale was inspired by a combination of Hachikō’s true story and the friendship with my own dog, Hachi, a constant source of joy and comfort.

I created this space to share Hachi’s powerful story and all he represents with the world. My mission is to promote compassion and respect for our cherished animal friends.

The Joy of Hachi: A Dog’s Tale
For many, work is a means to something more enjoya For many, work is a means to something more enjoyable: peace and relaxation. Leisure time is the promise of hard work. 🏝

Yet, while we covet unstructured time, we may feel guilty with not “producing” tangible results. With the internet pouring constant entertainment into our brains— laying back and doing little (sunning on a sandy beach) might feel boring.

Doing nothing can even feel jarring.

But, indulging in some “empty” time can be important. We may realize that what we think we dislike in our daily lives—may be just what provides us with meaning.
I’ve always loved the ritual of taking a bath. 🛀 After filling the tub with the hottest water I can stand — I pour in some lavender scented Epsom salts, Iight a pretty scented candle, turn on some music, darken the room, and plunge into the welcoming water.

Stress and tension seem to instantly dissolve into the steaming water.

And there’s research that confirms the effect! Immersion bathing subjects scored significantly better for fatigue, stress, pain, and showed better general health, mental health, role emotional, and social functioning scores.

In addition, bathing creates hyperthermic action that induces increased blood flow and metabolic waste elimination.

It’s no wonder that bath time devotees, like me, covet their nightly experience. And now we have science behind us.

Bath lovers unite! 🎉

And my mother said I was always bringing home strays. Stray dogs, stray cats, and I remember as a little girl, seeing a guy being abusive to a horse with a cart, and I went up and grabbed the reins and yelled at him…  I must have been under 10. So, yeah…  I always adored them.” Olivia Newton-John 🌈🌸🦋

Those were my lazy glorious days living in the South Pacific. 🏝

The clock stopped.

Everything doesn’t need to be “just so” to feel good when we have a calm center. 🧘🏻‍♀️
